Four Ways To Play!

Legacy Ultimate offers four ways to play: Pickup Games, Club Teams, Leagues, and Tournaments.

We use the USA Ultimate Rules as a guideline to any games we play.

PICKUP GAMES

We offer pickup games (normally seven on seven) at Liberty Station, Point Loma near downtown San Diego. The games are held on Wednesdays at 5pm and Sunday afternoons at 1pm. During the spring and fall league pickup will start at 4pm.

CLUB TEAMS

We have a club team that plays in tournaments that are not hosted by Legacy. Contact Jonathan Bresee for more information.

LEAGUES

League play begins at Point Loma, Liberty Station on Sunday afternoons at 1pm for the Adult League and 9am for the Middle School League. The leagues run twice a year with the Spring league starting in April and the Fall league starting in September. This year a contribution of $37 grants you admission to the league and includes your team jersey.

Join a team, or create your own team and play with your friends or choose any team name and create your team logo. We offer help with the design. At this time we run three leagues: Middle School, High School and Adult, with up to eight teams per league. All teams make the playoffs, and if you are one of the two teams remaining at the end – your team goes to the championship game. The winner of the championship game receives jerseys for their members. We also recognize three Spirit of the Game award winners – players who exemplify the attributes Ultimate is based on: teamwork, respect, and fair play.

You can read current league rules and fees here on our Rules page.

Adult League: Ages 17 years and up. The seeding round for the adult league is seven weeks long with the teams playing one game per week. After the seeding is done there is a three week playoff to determine the champion. There are men only and mixed teams in this league.
